Socio-psychological factors of using telework as an instrument for reintegration

چکیده

This study identifies social and psychological factors that play a role when using telework as an instrument for reintegration. The factors are identified by studying literature about telework and return-to-work. An intersection of the variables found in both fields gives the following four imporant factors: working time / work rhythms, career uncertainty, social support and motivation / self-efficacy. Two other important variables that should also be considered, are ‘likeliness to return to work’ and ‘social, physical and professional isolation’. The results should be tested in the future by e.g. qualitative interviews or a case study.
